Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Conor McGregor, billed as The Money Fight and The 180 Million Dollar Dance, is an upcoming professional boxing super-fight between undefeated eleven-time five-division professional boxing champion of the world Floyd Mayweather Jr. and two-division mixed martial arts world champion Conor McGregor. It will take place on August 26, 2017, at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.

Despite his success in the UFC mixed martial arts promotion, Conor McGregor maintained an interest in boxing competitively again, and entertained the idea of a "money fight" with Floyd Mayweather Jr. Mayweather reportedly talked to Freddie Roach to train McGregor for the fight in case it will happen. UFC president Dana White dismissed the rumors of a fight with Mayweather on The Dan Patrick Show, stating that Mayweather would have to contact him since McGregor was under contract with the UFC. White even went as far as stating, "Here’s what I think the chances are (of the fight happening): About the same of me being the backup quarterback for Brady on Sunday," referring to Super Bowl LI. In January 2017, it was reported that the two parties had entered an "exploratory phase" in negotiating a potential match between Mayweather and McGregor. On The Herd with Colin Cowherd, White openly offered to pay Mayweather $25 million to hold the proposed bout during a UFC event. He also predicted that pay-per-view viewership of the hypothetical bout could possibly rival Mayweather vs. Pacquiao. On March 7, 2017, Mayweather called upon McGregor to "sign the paper" and "make it happen", arguing that "if Conor McGregor really wants this fight to happen, stop blowing smoke up everybody's ass." On March 10, 2017, Mayweather stated that only a fight with McGregor would make him come out of retirement. On March 16, 2017, Dana White backpedaled on his stance against a Mayweather-McGregor bout and said that he would not deprive McGregor in making a massive payday. On May 18, 2017, McGregor reportedly agreed to all of Mayweather's updated terms and signed the contract.

The T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas will host possibly the biggest boxing match in the history of the sport. McGregor makes his boxing debut after spending the last four years becoming the undisputed pay-per-view and revenue king of the UFC. Mayweather, on the other hand, is a multiple weight world champion and is considered one of the greatest boxers ever with an unbeaten 49-0 record.

ESPN's Darren Rovell projected Mayweather vs. McGregor could earn $77.1 million in ticket sales and another $475 million in pay-per-view sales. Representatives of the two fighters will likely find a way to compensate Ice Cube and the BIG3 league to facilitate a move outside T-Mobile Arena.

Last month, McGregor announced that he had signed a “record breaking deal” to box against Mayweather, who has not stepped into the ring since September 2015, when he beat Andre Berto to retain his world welterweight title. The sheer novelty of the proposed bout — with a UFC champion who’s never trained strictly as a boxer going up against an undefeated legend of the ring — could push the prize money into absurd territory, with White speculating that Mayweather could get at least $100 million from the fight and McGregor $75 million.

The cheapest tickets (nosebleeds) for Mayweather-McGregor are US$2,750 each (and only sold in pairs), and ringside seats in rows 1 through 11 range from $35,000 up to $100,000.
